What to wear/bring
  • Waterproofs
  • Sunscreen
  • Jacket & tie – The Muirfield Experience
  • We recommend you bring waterproof shoes and your casual lightweight golf shoes

Day 1Arrival - Executive Transfer and Check In to The Old Course Hotel - Play The New Course Links

Fly into Edinburgh Airport to a warm welcome from the Muirfield Travel team who will transfer you to the Old Course Hotel in St Andrew’s. Enjoy a game on the the New course then spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 2Play The Old Course - Stay The Old Course Hotel

The Old Course is the oldest and most iconic golf course in the world. The first fairway may be one of the widest in Scotland but it is still a nerve jangling tee shot.

Day 3Play Carnoustie - Stay the Old Course Hotel

Carnoustie is generally regarded as the toughest of the Open venues but it is probably the fairest as well. The final three holes are surely the toughest closing stretch of holes anywhere.

Day 4Play Kingsbarns Golf Links - Stay The Old Course Hotel

Kingsbarns Golf Links is situated just 7 miles from St Andrews and lies along 1.8 miles of picturesque North Sea coastline. Annually, it co-hosts the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship together with the Old Course and Carnoustie Golf Links. In 2017 Kingsbarns also hosted the Ricoh Women’s British Open.

Day 5Transfer and Check in to Greywalls, Gullane - Play North Berwick West Links

Executive transfer to Greywalls, Gullane. Greywalls is literally a 9 iron from Muirfield, The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers – the world’s oldest golf club (formed in 1744).
The West Links in North Berwick is a one off. With nine holes out and nine holes back in and with a short par 4 18th hole that finishes in the town, it has a similar layout to the Old Course. It’s also the 3rd oldest course in the world still playing over its original fairways. The views out over the Firth of Forth are magnificent and when you come to the par 3 15th hole (Redan) you will be playing the most copied hole in golf. No wonder it is one of the most loved (and popular) golf courses in Scotland.

Day 6 Play Muirfield Golf Club - Stay Greywalls

Morning Fourballs – Lunch – Afternoon Foursomes (alternate shot).

Steeped in history and tradition, Muirfield is the home of The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers (HCEG) – the world’s oldest golf club (being formed in 1744). It was the first course designed with concentric rings of nine holes (the outward nine running clockwise around the edge of the course and the inward nine running anti-clockwise inside the outward nine). This layout ensures the wind hits you from all directions! Host to 15 Opens and most recently won in 2013 by Phil Mickelson. It has also played host to the 1973 Ryder Cup won by The USA.

Day 7Departure Day - After Breakfast, Executive Transfer to the Airport
