Enjoy 5 night’s luxury accommodation in Edinburgh at either The Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel or  The Intercontinental George Hotel. Included with your stay are a 3 course dinner and whisky tasting at The Scottish Malt Whisky Society, an admission ticket for the tour of Edinburgh Castle, an admission ticket for The Palace of Holyrood House and 2 day’s premium hospitality at 150th Open Championship in St Andrew’s. Also included is private transportation to/from Edinburgh airport, to/from The Scottish Malt Whisky Society dinner and open return train tickets from Edinburgh Waverley Station to the 150th Open Championship. Throughout your stay there is a 24 hour on-call support team.

Day 1 (Tuesday 12th July 2022)

Depart USA on international flight into Edinburgh International (EDI), Scotland.

Day 2 (Wednesday 13th July, 2022)

Arrival Edinburgh International Airport. Private airport transfer to your hotel and check in. The Kimpton Charlotte Hotel is ideally located in Edinburgh’s Georgian New Town overlooking a picturesque private garden. The hotel beautifully blends traditional Georgian architecture with a modern, light and dramatic interior. The glass-topped central courtyard is a busy hive of activity where travellers, tourists and locals all come together comfortably on a daily basis. The hotel is wonderfully positioned for shopping and dining out and is only a 15 minute walk to the main railway station- Waverley. After check in feel free to do a little of your own exploring and getting to know this historic city.

Day 3 (Thursday 14th July, 2022)

After breakfast at your hotel it’s the opening day of The 150th Open Championship on The Old Course, St Andrews. And you’ll be there! Having made your way to Waverley train station and up to St Andrews you will make your way to The Scorers hospitality venue via The Fast Track entrance. Situated inside the popular Spectator Village, this facility is just a short walk from the 16th Hole on the Old Course. Scorers is a relaxed and informal setting with a grazing, buffet lunch available and later on a ‘Golfer’s Tea’ with a selection of sweet treats, scones, sausage rolls and sandwiches. Complimentary beers, wines and soft drinks are available all day either inside or outside in the private garden area with tv screens, private restrooms and hospitality staff on hand to ensure you have the most memorable of days.

Day 4 (Friday 15th July, 2022)

After the excitement of Thursday at the golf it’s time for a little history, exploration and discovery. Breakfast at your leisure and then it’s time to stroll up to The Royal Mile and visit both Edinburgh Castle and The Palace of Holyrood House. You have tickets for both and all day to see and hear about the military, royal and social history associated with these magnificent buildings. Stories of Mary Queen of Scots, Bonnie Prince Charlie and our current Queen Elizabeth II await! Your evening is your own and if you would like dinner suggestions/reservations we will be happy to assist you.

Day 5 (Saturday 16th July, 2022)

With the halfway cut negotiated it’s moving day at The Open Championship when the potential contenders for The Claret Jug emerge from the pack. As before you have all day access to The Scorer’s facility which you can use a base fore the day’s golf on The Old Course. Lunch and tea with complimentary drinks are again provided for your hospitality. With an open train ticket you can decide how long you fancy staying before making your way back to the hotel and perhaps a wee nightcap (or two)!

Day 6 (Sunday 17th July, 2022)

After two days at the golf and a day exploring Edinburgh castles, Sunday is your own. In the evening you will be collected from your hotel and taken to The Scottish Malt Whisky Society for dinner. The Society is an International Members Club offering the world’s widest collection of rare and exceptional single cask whiskies. Each of their whiskies is bottled from a single cask at natural strength without the addition of water or colouring. A real treat.

Day 7 (Monday 18th July, 2022)

Check out and departure day. After breakfast your driver will take you directly to Edinburgh International Airport and departure home.

 

Golf (optional extra)

Tee time on the Fidra or Dirleton courses at the exclusive Archerfield Golf Club. Round trip private hire transportation, golf cart and use of practice facilities all included. £470 per person per round.

 

AIR-EXCLUSIVE. Prices in GBP Includes taxes based on two people sharing a Standard Double Room. Higher room categories available upon request in a Superior Room or a Junior Suite. If you are booking golf for 1, 2 or 3 players, please note you may be paired with other golfer(s). This is normal protocol for golf clubs in the United Kingdom. Please enquire for other golf course options. Hotel porterage is available for an additional cost of £2.50 per guest.
